Time to say goodbye…

Piano GR mono web

Soprano Clare has a generous offer to make this week.

“At the age of 41 I decided to take up the piano and a kind person living in Raunds agreed to give me one for free. It has given me lots of pleasure. I taught myself to play grade one pieces passably well, but never had lessons. You know how it is, all my spare cash went into music lessons for our children and I never felt I could justify paying for lessons for myself too. I did learn to play one especially tricky piece to accompany my son on the saxophone, which is a very special memory. These days I play only very occasionally just to check I’ve got notes right when practising choir pieces, and the piano has been gathering dust. Now we have decided to move house, I think it is time to say goodbye to this lovely old instrument. I am told it is worth about £300 but I would like it to go to someone for free as long as they pay removal costs and promise not to sell it for profit. There is a piano stool to go with it but I am going to keep all my sheet music for the time being as I hope one day I will come back to the piano with renewed interest.

Please leave me a message if you would like to give my piano a new home.”
