For our last meeting of the summer we sang for the residents of Darsdale Care Home in Raunds. We had an excellent turnout and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We ran through some of our repertoire, including one of Sally’s favourites, A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square, and everyone’s favourite and our signature tune, As Long As I Have Music. Then we finished off with a group sing-along and even improvised a medley after a resident asked if we knew any rugby songs!
Afterwards choir members went for a meal at Rocco’s Italian restaurant in the town centre. We’re very grateful to Patience for organising such a lovely evening out.
No choir now until September 9th. If you’re thinking of joining that would be a perfect evening to come along as many of the songs will be new to us too.
